Additionally, brace yourself for a potentially chilly day during the Humantay lake Tour. At the summit, it can be both cold and windy, so dress warmly to enjoy the breathtaking views comfortably.
Arriving to Cusco
The best way to get to Cusco is by air and there are several airline options. LATAM tends to be the most expensive, but it has more flight options. But you also have PERUVIAN, AVIANCA, STAR PERU, LC PERU to choose according to your preference.
Expect flight delays or cancellations, due to the high altitude of Cusco, tends to be difficult to land so that on rainy days you can paralyze air traffic.

Various insurance providers offer plans tailored to your country of origin and duration of stay. Take the time to review options and choose the one that best fits your needs. This precaution ensures peace of mind while visiting Peru.

Altitude Sickness
As soon as individuals plan their trip to Peru, specifically Cusco, concerns about altitude sickness arise. The air at high altitudes contains less oxygen than at sea level, compelling your body to work harder to procure the oxygen it needs. Over several days at high altitude, your body adjusts to the reduced oxygen levels in the air.
Initial symptoms of altitude sickness may include a headache, fatigue, followed by loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, difficulty sleeping, and labored breathing during exercise. Should any of these symptoms worsen, please contact our office, and we will assist you in seeking medical attention.

Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Peru. Visitors from all over the world are drawn to this magnificent natural wonder for its striking colors and stunning views. While most tours take visitors to Rainbow Mountain in the morning, there are many reasons why an afternoon visit is the perfect choice for a memorable experience.
Beat the Crowds.
One of the biggest advantages of visiting Rainbow Mountain in the afternoon is that you can avoid the morning rush. Most tours depart Cusco early in the morning, which means that the first wave of visitors usually arrives at Rainbow Mountain around mid-morning. By visiting in the afternoon, you can have a more peaceful and intimate experience, without the crowds of people that are usually present during the morning.
Captivating Sunset.
The views of Rainbow Mountain are breathtaking during the day, but they are even more captivating at sunset. As the sun sets behind the mountains, the colors of the Rainbow Mountain become even more vibrant and spectacular, creating a truly unforgettable experience. The stunning sunset provides an opportunity for visitors to capture incredible photos that will last a lifetime.
Unique Experience.
Visiting Rainbow Mountain in the afternoon also provides a unique experience that not many people get to enjoy. As the sun begins to set, the lighting and shadows on the mountain change, creating a different perspective of the landscape. It’s a perfect time to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the mountain and the surrounding nature.
Convenience.
Another advantage of an afternoon tour is the convenience it offers. Most people prefer to sleep in and take their time in the morning, so an afternoon tour allows them to relax and enjoy the morning without feeling rushed. Additionally, many tours offer hotel pickups, making it easy and convenient for visitors to join the tour without worrying about transportation.

For every tour or service that we offer and sell, a certain number of trees are planted, and we are proud to say that we are pioneers in implementing this method of reforestation.
Our commitment to the environment and local communities goes beyond offering excellent services. We strive to create a positive impact in the areas we operate, and we are determined to help the indigenous communities of Cusco that often do not benefit from tourism. By planting trees in these communities, we hope to contribute to their sustainable development, promote biodiversity, and combat climate change.
We provide regular updates to our clients on the progress of our reforestation project, and we are grateful to them for being a part of this journey. By choosing Peru Private Tours for their travel needs, our clients are not only experiencing the beauty of Peru but also helping us to make a positive impact on the environment and communities. We hope that other companies will follow our example, and together, we can create a more sustainable future.
